Dirty Soap & Co. – Return & Refund Policy

At Dirty Soap & Co., we want you to love your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, please read our Return & Refund Policy below.


1. Consumer Rights (South Africa)

In line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA):

  • You may return a product within 7 days of receipt if it is not defective or damaged, as part of your cooling-off period.

  • Faulty or damaged products may be returned within 7 days of purchase.

  • Refunds or replacements will be provided in line with these rules.


2. Returns for Change of Mind

  • Products returned for change of mind must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging.

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • Refunds for change-of-mind returns will be processed within 10 business days after we receive the returned product.

  • Certain products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened (e.g., lipsticks, creams).


3. Returns for Faulty or Damaged Products

  • If a product is faulty or damaged on arrival, contact us at liveclean@dirtysoap.co.za within 48 hours of receiving it.

  • Provide your order number, photos, and description of the issue.

  • We will inspect the product and may offer a replacement, or refund.

  • Return shipping for faulty or damaged products will be covered by us.


4. Refunds

  • Refunds are issued via the original payment method.

  • Refund processing may take up to 10 business days after we receive the returned product.

  • Refunds exclude any original shipping charges unless the product is faulty.


5. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are possible for products of the same value.

  • Contact us to request an exchange.

  • Shipping costs for exchanges are handled the same as returns.


6. How to Return a Product

  1. Contact liveclean@dirtysoap.co.za with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Wait for our confirmation and instructions.

  3. Pack the product securely in original packaging.

  4. Ship the product back using a trackable shipping method.

  5. Once received and inspected, we will process your refund or replacement.


7. Important Notes

  • Products must not show signs of use (unless faulty).

  • Returns without prior approval may not be accepted.

  • Damaged or lost items in transit during return are your responsibility, unless we cover shipping for faulty products.
